Day 1 in Taipei: morning incense at Xingtian Temple, Longshan Temple and the Bopiliao Historical Block, then the gondola up to Zhinan Temple and the Dalongdong Confucius Temple. Day 2 in Taichung: Dajia Jenn Lann Temple and Chung Tai Chan Monastery, with souvenir shopping at the Puli Winery. Day 3 in Kaohsiung: a vegetarian meal in Fo Guang Shan's dining hall, cleansing bad karma at the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas on Lotus Pond, and Sanfeng Temple.

  2. Longshan Temple (Wanhua — a century-old temple famed for answering every kind of prayer)
  3. Bopiliao Historical Block (beside Longshan Temple, historic shophouse culture)

  5. Zhinan Temple (Muzha — gondola up the mountain to the 'Temple of the Immortals')
  6. Taipei Confucius Temple, Dalongdong (solemn Dacheng Hall)

  5. Puli Winery (sightseeing, not religious — good for souvenirs)
  6. Overnight in Taichung or Nantou

  3. Vegetarian lunch (Fo Guang Shan dining hall)
  4. Dragon and Tiger Pagodas, Lotus Pond (enter by the dragon, exit by the tiger to cleanse bad karma)
  5. Sanfeng Temple (a Kaohsiung heritage site, rich with the scent of Chinese herbs)
  6. Return to Taipei or overnight in Kaohsiung
