At a Glance
Villa 32 is at No. 32, Zhongshan Road, Beitou District, Taipei. It opened in 2004, is run in the manner of a private guesthouse, and is a member of France's Relais & Châteaux. There are only 5 rooms, in Japanese and European styles, with in-room hot spring bathing, and a private butler team looks after you from check-in.
Besides the rooms, there are public baths separated for men and women, The Restaurant serving European cuisine with three private dining rooms, and The SPA with single treatment rooms. The hot spring water is Beitou's white sulfur and green sulfur, and the public baths have both.
Villa 32 only welcomes guests aged 16 and over and doesn't allow pets. It suits two people who want a soak, a good dinner and an unhurried night, but not families with children.

Highlights
01Public Hot Spring
The public baths are separate for men and women and swap every two weeks, with 4 indoor pools and 4 outdoor pools, plus a steam room, dry sauna, meditation room, relaxation room and reading area. The water includes white sulfur and green sulfur springs; the green sulfur spring is acidic (pH 1–2), so keep it away from your face and eyes.
Opening hours are 10:00–23:00 (last entry 22:00), and the baths close for maintenance on one Monday each month. Bathing is nude, and phones and electronic devices are banned throughout; people who have been drinking, pregnant women, women on their period and people with heart conditions may not enter. Guests can use the baths as often as they like during their stay.

02In-room Hot Spring
The Japanese-style Matsu and Sakura have indoor and outdoor baths of Taiwan cypress (a single pool of white sulfur spring water); slide open the doors and step out along the corridor to an open-air bath and garden for your use alone. The European-style Jade pairs a skylight with an Indian black stone bath, while Crystal has a separate hot spring bathroom.
There are also in-room bathing packages for non-guests, depending on availability that day, so call ahead to ask.

03The Restaurant
The Restaurant serves European cuisine made with seasonal Taiwanese ingredients. The interior is mainly stone and wood with an open kitchen, and outside you can see a three-tiered water cascade and a water wall. Lunch is 12:00–14:00, afternoon tea 15:00–17:00 and dinner 18:00–22:00, with last orders at 13:30, 16:00 and 20:00 respectively.
There are also three private dining rooms, the Chili Room, Tomato Room and Pepper Room; the Chili Room is about 7 ping and seats 10, with a minimum spend to confirm when booking.

Rooms
The 5 rooms come in Japanese and European styles. Your stay includes welcome tea and snacks, an in-room minibar (sake in the Japanese-style rooms; Laurent-Perrier champagne in the European-style rooms is charged separately), a private butler team and breakfast for 2 the next morning. European-style rooms take 2 guests each, and Japanese-style rooms up to 3, with a charge for the extra guest. Since January 1, 2025, rooms no longer provide personal toiletries, so bring your own toothbrush and other essentials.
