At a Glance
The Landis Taipei is at No. 41, Section 2, Minquan East Road, at the corner of Minquan East Road and Jilin Road. Its predecessor (台北亞都飯店) opened in 1979. From the start its interiors have followed 1930s French Art Deco, a line it has kept through several renovations, and it also holds a sizable art collection.
Dining is the main draw: the Hangzhou restaurant Tien Hsiang Lo on B1, French set menus at Paris1930 de Hideki Takayama on the 2nd floor, the all-day French brasserie La Brasserie and the Le Rendez-Vous bar on the 1st floor, and a bakery (麗緻坊) selling European bread and pastries.
There are 4 room types, the Superior Room, Deluxe Room, Executive Suite and Corner Suite, and every room has a bathroom with a separate shower area and a bidet toilet. MRT Zhongshan Elementary School Station is about a 3-minute walk away, so it suits travelers based around Zhongshan and Datong, or those coming especially for the food.
