Overview
Day 1 is a slow tour of Tainan's heritage: Chihkan Tower, the Grand Matsu Temple and the Confucius Temple through to Anping Old Fort — easy walking with wonderful views. Day 2 covers Kaohsiung: warding off misfortune at the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas on Lotus Pond, Sanfeng Temple, an afternoon ferry to Cijin for an old-street stroll, and a twilight cruise on the Love River. Day 3 visits Fo Guang Shan with its elevators and barrier-free access, then the Hakka and banana heritage of Meinong and Qishan old streets.

Chihkan Tower has a barrier-free entrance, and both the Grand Matsu Temple and the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas at Lotus Pond are on the flat. Stops that involve long uphill walking are deliberately left out.
The Grand Matsu Temple and the historic heart of Tainan, the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas at Lotus Pond in Kaohsiung, and Fo Guang Shan. We finish on Meinong's Hakka old street, where the mood shifts from worship to an easy stroll.
Night one in Tainan, night two in Kaohsiung. Accommodation is not part of the vehicle fee, but your travel consultant can help secure rooms with an elevator or barrier-free access.
