With a private charter
From Taipei, take National Freeway 5 through the Hsuehshan Tunnel into Yilan, then head to Yuanshan. Wanglong Pond, Shuanglian Pond and the Kavalan distillery in Yuanshan are spread apart, and getting between them by public transport takes a long time, so a one-day private charter can link the ponds, the distillery and Yilan city before bringing you back to soak at the hotel in the evening. Parking is free for guests, and for families or villa guests with lots of luggage, it is easiest to have your driver drop you right at the lobby entrance.
