voco Chiayi is IHG's voco-brand hotel in Chiayi City, on Section 1 of Shixian Road in the West District, right next to the Shixian Road greenway. There are four places to eat: the Lobby Café on the ground floor, the buffet at the Tianyuan Western Restaurant (田園西餐廳) on the 2nd floor, Cantonese dim sum at Fu Yue Lou (福粵樓) on the 32nd floor, and Join's Café & Bistro overlooking the city. There is also a heated indoor pool and fitness center, and the 3rd and 4th floors are banquet floors.
The hotel works as a stopover on the way to Alishan and Yushan National Park, with Hinoki Village, the Chiayi Cultural and Creative Industries Park and the Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum nearby. With a private charter
This hotel works best for the night before or after Alishan: spend the first day exploring Hinoki Village in Chiayi city and eating turkey rice, then set off up the mountain early the next morning. Or come back here after Alishan, which makes it easy to continue to Tainan or Kaohsiung, or catch the HSR north the next day. With the Chiayi interchange on National Freeway 1 under 4 km away, getting on and off the freeway in either direction is easy. GO TAIWAN's 4-day pilgrimage itinerary puts the second night in Taichung or Chiayi; if you choose Chiayi, you can stay here. There are 198 parking spaces and a drop-off area by the entrance, and the hotel advises guests arriving by car to come early.
