Shifen Old Street
A railway-side old street on the Pingxi Line, where you write your wish on a sky lantern right beside the tracks — Shifen Waterfall, Taiwan's 'Little Niagara', is a short walk away.

Shifen sky lanterns × the Jiufen mountain town × Yehliu's wondrous rocks × the colorful houses of Zhengbin — one van of friends, two days shooting the best of northern Taiwan.
Overview
This 2-day route strings northern Taiwan's signature photo spots into one loop: Day 1 opens with sky lanterns and the waterfall at Shifen, wanders Shuqi Road in the Jiufen mountain town in the afternoon, catches Jiufen at its finest hour as the lanterns light up at dusk, then overnights in Keelung. Day 2 covers the Queen's Head at Yehliu, the colorful houses of Zhengbin Fishing Port and the curious rocks of Heping Island, wrapping up at Keelung Miaokou Night Market before heading back to Taipei.
With 10 hours of charter per day, departure times and how long you linger at each stop are all open to discussion with your driver — an extra round of photos or one more snack stall, it's all flexible.

Attractions

A railway-side old street on the Pingxi Line, where you write your wish on a sky lantern right beside the tracks — Shifen Waterfall, Taiwan's 'Little Niagara', is a short walk away.

Hillside teahouses and the stone steps of Shuqi Road, with taro balls and caozaiguo rice cakes to snack on as you go — Jiufen at dusk, lanterns aglow, is the classic scene.

The Queen's Head plus mushroom rocks, ginger rocks and other curious formations — the northeast coast's most iconic sea-eroded landscape, photogenic from every angle.

Northern Taiwan's classic night market — graze on Zhou Ji scallion pancakes and bite-size sausages to close out two days of photo-hopping.
The route is built around 4–9 friends traveling together, which fills one vehicle nicely. Larger or smaller groups work too — your travel consultant simply switches the vehicle type and requotes.
Yes. Accommodation, attraction tickets and activity fees, meals and personal expenses are not included (local restaurant recommendations are included, so you can dine as you like). The Shifen sky lanterns and the Gold Museum in Jinguashi are paid on the spot, and your driver drops you right at the entrance.
Dusk. The itinerary places Jiufen from mid-afternoon into the evening, so you are there as the lanterns along Shuqi Road and at A-Mei Tea House light up — and you miss the worst of the midday crush.
Night one is in Keelung. Accommodation is not part of the charter fee, but your travel consultant can help arrange it to your budget — and we can switch you to Jiufen or central Taipei if you prefer.
