Access

Location

The hotel is at No. 18, Tianxiang Road, Fushi Village, Xiulin Township, Hualien County, at Tianxiang inside Taroko National Park. Nearby is the Lushui–Wenshan Trail, once part of the old Hehuan cross-mountain trail (合歡越嶺古道), linking Tianxiang and Lushui. The hotel also arranges paid guided outings to the Buluowan Terrace, Xibao Elementary School and the Dali Trail.

From Taipei, a Tze-Chiang or Chu-Kuang express train to Hualien Station takes about 2–3 hours, then you transfer to the hotel's shuttle from Hualien Station; a flight from Songshan Airport to Hualien Airport takes about 50 minutes. Because the hotel is inside a national park, it encourages guests to use the shuttle or public transport. If you drive yourself, watch out for controlled opening times on some sections of Highway 8, and arrive early to wait at the checkpoint.

With a private charter

From Hualien Station or Hualien Airport it's about 1 hour up into the park, along Highway 9 and then Highway 8. Some sections have controlled opening times, so check that day's opening hours before setting off. Compared with the hotel's scheduled shuttle, a private charter can stop along the way at trails and viewpoints that are open (openings are subject to Taroko National Park Headquarters' announcements) before continuing to Tianxiang to check in; after check-out you can head straight to Qixingtan or Hualien City and on to an East Rift Valley itinerary. GO TAIWAN's Hualien and Hualien–Taitung tours mostly cover Taroko as a day trip, so if you'd like to spend a night inside the gorge, ask your trip consultant to rearrange the itinerary to stay here. Your vehicle can pick up and drop off at the main entrance; guest parking is in the hotel parking lot, and please check with the hotel whether it applies to charter vehicles.
